Bio:
Fideme Ngau has many years experience as an eater - the trip from breast to Bresse really has taken him a lifetime. Ngau left Britain 20 years ago when the food was as bad as the reputation and as a result found Hong Kong a porker's paradise. Two decades and a lot of mopped plates later, Ngau thinks Hong Kong is a world city - just like anywhere else in the world, the restaurants can be as infuriatingly inconsistent, over-priced and let down by poor service. He is kept going by the idea that there are always new gems to be found.
Ngau currently writes about restaurants and travel, but in 15 years of journalism has covered topics as diverse as property, insurance (really) and shipping through hard news to romance tips for the sensitive new age guy. Ngau believes food is for eating and not a lifestyle or political choice.
